The 1947/48 season was the third regular season of the United States Hockey League (USHL). The Houston Huskies became champions .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Houston Skippers stopped playing.
- The Houston Huskies were added to the league as an expansion team.
mode
In the regular season, the eight teams completed 66 games each, with the championship being divided into two divisions (North and South). Then the champions were played in playoffs. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
