The 1949/50 season was the fifth regular season of the United States Hockey League (USHL). The Minneapolis Millers became champions .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Dallas Texans ceased gaming.
- The Fort Worth Rangers stopped the game.
- The Houston Huskies stopped playing.
- The Kansas City Pla-Mors changed their name to the Kansas City Mohawks.
- The Louisville Blades from the International Hockey League were added to the league as an expansion team.

In the regular season, the six teams played 70 games each. Then the champions were played in playoffs. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
