The UZ series 2ЭЛ5 (German transcription 2EL5 ) of the Ukrsalisnyzja (UZ) is a series in two two-section design as four-axle design per section for the transport of freight trains and passenger trains on main roads with alternating current 25 kV 50 Hz. It was a replica of the 2004 built 2ЭC5К in the locomotive works of the Novocherkassk electric locomotive factory and the Luhansk locomotive factory . The locomotives have the nickname ёлка ( Jolka ) and are intended for work in the voltage network from 19 to 29 kV at industrial frequency and in the temperature range from -50 ° C to +45 ° C in a working area up to 1,200 m above sea level .

history

This locomotive was built from 2005 to 2011 and is based on the construction of the 2ЭC5К of the Novocherkassk electric locomotive factory. The special design feature of the locomotive consists in the modified cabin for the train driver and therefore the driver's desk. Technically, the locomotive is equipped with a microprocessor system for the safety driving circuit, this corresponds to the requirements of the customer Ukrzalisnyzja.

The first locomotive 2ЭЛ5.001 was manufactured in the Novocherkassk electric locomotive factory together with specialists from the Luhansk locomotive factory. The second locomotive was manufactured in the Luhansk locomotive factory with assembled components from the Novocherkassk electric locomotive factory, with specialists from Novocherkassk supervising the construction. The electric locomotives with inventory numbers 003 and 004 were then completely manufactured in the Luhansk locomotive factory, except for the bogies. From number 008 onwards, the bogies were also manufactured in the Luhansk locomotive factory. A total of 18 locomotives were produced.
