Ubald Steiner

Ubald Steiner (born May 29, 1882 in Troppau ; † November 22, 1946 ) was an Austrian politician and provost . Steiner was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1934 to 1938 .

After Steiner had received his ordination as a priest in 1905, he worked in Hafnerbach , Anzbach and Stein an der Donau . In 1909 he joined the Herzogenburg Abbey , where he was appointed curate of the monastery in 1911 and master novice in 1912. From 1914 to 1915 he served as field curate, in 1927 he was elected provost of the monastery.

During the time of Austrofascism he represented the “legally recognized church and religious societies” between November 22, 1934 and March 12, 1938 in the Lower Austrian state parliament. For the front militia he was militia vicar .
