Ubaldo Néstor Sacco

Ubaldo Néstor Sacco (* 28 July 1955 in Buenos Aires , Distrito Federal , Argentina ; † 28. May 1997 ) was an Argentine boxer in the Light Welterweight and normal boom .

Professional career

Sacco won his first 16 professional fights and lost in his 17th fight against his compatriot Hugo Sergio Quartapelle over 10 rounds on points. On May 23, 1981 he was Argentine champion and in May of the following year South American champion. In December 1984 he met Gene Hatcher ; in this fight it was about the WBA world title. Hatcher won over 15 laps by a split point decision.

The direct rematch, which took place in Italy on July 21 of the following year , was won by Sacco by a technical knockout in round 9. He lost the belt, however, in his first title defense on March 15 the following year to the previously undefeated Italian Patrizio Oliva (record 43-0-0) by a split judge's decision and then ended his career.
