Ubbo Emmius Clinic - North Clinic

The Ubbo Emmius Clinic - North Clinic is a basic and standard care hospital on Osterstraße in the Ekel district in Norden , East Frisia. It is an academic teaching hospital of the Hannover Medical School . The hospital group is the Ubbo-Emmius-Klinik gGmbH .

history

The house was put into operation in 1966. It replaced the former district hospital of the district of Norden in Hage and the municipal hospital in Norden. In 2004 the house was opened together with the Aurich District Hospital in the Ubbo Emmius Clinic. In 2005 the step into legal independence took place. It is named after Ubbo Emmius , Evangelical Reformed theologian, historian, educator and founding rector of the University of Groningen (Netherlands).

In 2017 the house was in the public eye because of an impostor as an assistant doctor in the psychiatric department.
