Udo Keller

Udo Keller (born May 22, 1941 in Baldenburg ; † November 21, 2012 in Bad Segeberg ) was a German entrepreneur and founder.

Life

Udo Keller was born in Baldenburg ( Pomerania ) in 1941 and began his professional career on August 18, 1965 at IOS. He was a top manager at IOS and worked as a freelance financial clerk for many years. From 1984 to 1985 he was organizational director in the HMK organization of Hamburg-Mannheimer Versicherungs-AG , before founding tecis Holding AG as an independent financial services company in 1986 . He led this company until 2001. By 2002 he sold a large part of his shares and only held a minority stake of 8.5% in tecis Holding AG. In 1995 he founded the Association of Independent Financial Services Companies in Europe. V. (Votum Hamburg), which became the leading industry association under his chairmanship .

Forum Humanum Foundation

In 2000, Udo Keller founded the “Udo Keller Foundation Forum Humanum” with its headquarters in Neversdorf , which is committed to promoting interdisciplinary and interreligious projects in research, teaching and practice. At the University of Tübingen, the Udo Keller Foundation made an important founding contribution to the Forum Scientiarum with the establishment of the Doblerstrasse study house . The Forum Scientiarum is a central institution of the university that has been dedicated to promoting the dialogue between the sciences in teaching and research since 2006. The focus is on projects in which natural scientists and humanities scholars come together.
