Udo Reinhard Müller

Udo Reinhard Müller (born October 11, 1948 in Brackwede ) is a German fluid mechanic and university professor .

Life

Udo Reinhard Müller studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University specializing in aerospace . In the winter semester 1969/70 he joined the Corps Saxonia-Berlin. After completing his studies as a Dipl.-Ing. In 1979 he became a Dr.-Ing. at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen . PhD.

After two years of research at NASA in California (1980-82), he completed his habilitation in 1986 at RWTH Aachen University with the venia legendi for the field of turbulent flows . In the same year he switched to the aerospace company Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm in Bremen and worked on the aeroelastic development of the Airbus A340 . He later took on various tasks in technology management at Airbus Deutschland GmbH, Hamburg, and EADS Airbus, Toulouse. He was u. a. Head of the Advisory Board College of Experts at Airbus Research & Technology. He retired in early 2011.

From 1986 to 2008 , he taught the field of flow measurement methods at the Aerodynamic Institute of RWTH Aachen University as an adjunct professor .
