Udo Schnelle
Udo Schnelle (born September 8, 1952 in Nauen ) is a German theologian, professor emeritus for the New Testament at the theological faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and known as the author of several theological introductory works.
Live and act
He studied from 1974 to 1979 at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen , where he received his doctorate in 1981 and habilitated in 1985. From 1986 to 1992 he was Professor of the New Testament at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg . He has been teaching in Halle since 1992 . From 2014 to 2015 he was the president of the New Testament research society Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas (SNTS) .
