Uladzimir Dzmitruk

Uladsimir Mikalajewitsch Dsmitruk (also Wladimir Dmitruk ; born 1987 in Minsk ) is a Belarusian opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Dsmitruk studied at the Molodechno Music Academy with Vasilevich Margarita Petrovna, won several prizes from 2008 and then moved to the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg. His repertoire includes classical bel canto roles such as the Duke of Mantua in Verdi's Rigoletto and Alfredo in his La traviata , as well as Des Grieux in Puccini's Manon Lescaut . His first engagement took him to the Bergen National Opera . In the 2013/14 season he was engaged in the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program at the Los Angeles Opera and appeared in smaller roles in Mozart , Donizetti and Britten operas.

Since September 2014 Dsmitruk has been involved in the Junge Ensemble of the Theater an der Wien for two seasons . At the main house he takes on smaller roles, in the Vienna Chamber Opera branch he takes on leading roles, such as Lenski in Tchaikovsky's Eugen Onegin or the tenor roles in Handel's Rinaldo , Gassmann's Gli Uccellatori , Ravel's Spanish Hour or Poulenc's Breasts of Tiresias .
