Uli Molsen

Uli Molsen (* 9. February 1947 in Hechingen ) is a German piano - teacher , from 1989 to 2010 and professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart worked. Molsen wrote piano tutorials and writings on music education , some of which were translated into foreign languages ​​( Spanish , Japanese , Chinese ).

Life

After graduating from high school, Uli Molsen studied piano, double bass , choir conducting, conducting and composition at the Trossingen University of Music . In 1970 he became director of the Metzingen music school , and in 1972 he became the director of the piano classes at the Balingen youth music school . During this time he completed a piano postgraduate course in Trossingen with Jaime Padrós . From 1973 Molsen developed a lively lecture and course activity with piano pedagogical topics, especially in German-speaking countries, but also in France, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and China.

From 1989 until his retirement in 2010, Uli Molsen was professor for piano, piano pedagogy and instrumental pedagogy at the University of Music in Stuttgart. From 1991 to 1995 he was a member of the executive committee of the European Piano Teachers Association . From 1997 to 2007 he was also Vice-Rector at the University of Music in Stuttgart.
