Ulrich-Bernd Wolff from Sahl

Ulrich-Bernd Wolff von der Sahl (born April 21, 1956 in Nykyrka , Sweden ) is a German manager. He was chairman of the board of directors of SV SparkassenVersicherung and chairman of the board of directors of the Association of Public Insurers .

Career

Wolff von der Sahl studied forest science at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen until 1982 . From 1985 he was responsible for looking after agricultural customers at the Magdeburg insurance group before moving to Landschaftliche Brandkasse Hannover in 1990 .

In 1991 Wolff von der Sahl became a board member of the Sachsen-Anhalt public insurance company , and in 1996 he took over the liability / accident, motor vehicle and property insurance department. A year later he moved to the board of directors of SV SparkassenVersicherung Hessen-Nassau-Thüringen , which was newly established in the previous year , and of which he was promoted to CEO in 2001. After the merger of SV Hessen-Nassau-Thüringen with SV Versicherungen in Baden-Württemberg in January 2004, for which he was responsible with Manfred Haas , he was initially deputy chairman of the new company before he was appointed chairman of the board in 2005. He retired in May 2018.

Since 2002 Wolff von der Sahl was a member of the board of directors of public insurers. In March 2012 he was elected as the successor to Friedrich Schubring-Giese by the general assembly as the new chairman of the administrative board of the Association of Public Insurers . He is also a member of the board of trustees of the Academy for Spoken Word in Stuttgart.

Wolff von der Sahl is involved in the German Forest Protection Association on a voluntary basis .
