Ulrich Busse (English)

Ulrich Busse (* 1959 ) is a German linguist.

Life

From 1978 to 1984 he studied English, art education and pedagogy / psychology at the University of Paderborn and 1980/1981 at the University of Dundee with a DAAD scholarship . In 1984 he passed the first state examination for teaching at upper secondary levels. From 1984 to 1988 he was a research assistant for Broder Carstensen on his DFG research project Anglicisms Dictionary. From 1989 to 1993 he was a research assistant at the chair of English / American linguistics of Prof. Carstensen, teaching as well as further participation in the above-mentioned. Research project. After the death of Prof. Carstensen he was responsible for the o. G. Research project and graduated as well as teaching. From 1993 to 1994 he represented an academic council position at the University of Paderborn in the field of language teaching / learning research, didactics of the English language. After receiving his doctorate in 1993 as Dr. phil. (University of Paderborn) Anglicisms in the Duden - An investigation into the representation of English verbosity in the editions of the Spelling Dudens from 1880–1986. From 1994 to 1995 he was an academic councilor at the University of Osnabrück in the field of English studies / linguistics. From 1995 to 2000 he was a research assistant at the University of Osnabrück in the field of English and Linguistics. From 2000 to 2001 he was in charge of the English and Linguistics ( Oliver Grannis ) chair at the University of Osnabrück . After his habilitation in 2001 as PD Dr. phil. habil. (University of Osnabrück) The function of linguistic variation in the Shakespeare Corpus: a study of the morpho-syntactic variability of the address pronouns and their socio-historical and pragmatic implications , he has been teaching since 2001 as a university professor for English and linguistics at the Martin-Luther- University of Halle-Wittenberg .
