Ulrich Däuber

Ulrich "Ulz" Däuber (born March 31, 1970 in Würzburg ) is a German football coach .

career

From 1985 Däuber played football for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns . As a student, he spent a year at Monrovia High School in Indiana, USA . Däuber, who taught biology and English at the University of Kassel and the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg between 1990 and 1999, was a football player in the Haller men's team from 1989 to 1993. As early as 1988 he took on coaching duties in the youth division, later with the exception of one year until 1999 he was head coach in the youth department of the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. In addition, he held the position of defense coordinator for the men's team from 1992 and was head coach of the youth team between 1996 and 1998Baden-Württemberg and from 1998 to 2000 assistant coach for the German junior national team, where he was responsible for looking after the linebackers  .

Däuber moved to the United States in 1999 and became an assistant coach for the college football team at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He looked after the defensive backs as well as the players with special tasks. Dauber's wife worked as a university lecturer. In 2017 he was temporarily responsible for the German men's national team as an assistant coach for players with special tasks. In August 2017, Däuber began his service as head of the youth department at the Dresden Monarchs, and at the end of October 2017 he was promoted to the position of head coach of the monarchs in the top German division GFL .
