Ulrich Kinzel

Ulrich Kinzel (born December 30, 1956 in Kiel ) is a German specialist in German.

Life

From 1976 to 1983 he studied German and English philology in Kiel (1983 first state examination in LA Gymnasium / 1987 doctorate to Dr. phil. In Kiel). After passing the second state examination in 1989 at the LA Gymnasium, he has since worked at various high schools in Schleswig-Holstein. From 1990 to 2000 he was scientifically active at the Universities of Stettin , Konstanz , Kiel and Hamburg . After completing his habilitation in 1997 in the subject of Modern German Literature at the University of Hamburg, he has been teaching subject didactics at the Institute for Modern German Literature and Media at Kiel University since 2002 . In 2012 he became an adjunct professor for German literature at Kiel University.

His main research interests are German literature from the 16th to the 21st century, literary theory and discourse analysis, comparative literature (English / American and German literature) and literary didactics.
