Ulrich Krohs

Ulrich Krohs (born July 8, 1961 in Göttingen ) is professor of philosophy at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster .

Life

Ulrich Krohs studied biochemistry and philosophy in Tübingen , Brighton , Aachen and Hamburg . In 1989 he received his diploma in biochemistry ( University of Tübingen ). In 1994 he was promoted to Dr. rer. nat. PhD ( RWTH Aachen ). In 2004 he completed his habilitation in philosophy (University of Hamburg).

After teaching and research activities at the University of Hamburg, at the Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research in Altenberg / Austria, at the University of Vienna, Center for Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh, at the University of Bielefeld and the University of Bern was In September 2012 he was university professor for philosophy with a focus on philosophy of science and natural philosophy at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster .

His work focuses on general philosophy of science , philosophy and history of the biosciences , philosophy of technology , natural philosophy and epistemology .
