Ulrich Kuhnke

Ulrich Kuhnke (* 1960 in Dortmund ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Kuhnke studied Catholic theology and history at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster from 1980 to 1985 and graduated with a diploma in theology. From 1985 to 1990 he was active in pastoral work in the Heilig-Kreuz-Gemeinde in Dortmund. From 1990 to 1992 he completed his legal clerkship for teaching in Catholic religion and history at a grammar school and a comprehensive school in Gladbeck . In 1991 he received his doctorate in practical theology from the University of Paderborn .

In 1993 he worked for a few months as a research assistant at the Science Center of North Rhine-Westphalia before moving to a position as a community assistant in the Catholic University of Applied Sciences community in Münster. He held this position until 1996 when he was appointed professor for practical theology at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Northern Germany .

Since 2006 he has been Professor of Practical Theology and Ethics in the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences . He is married to Martina Blasberg-Kuhnke and has one child.
