Ulrich Lauf

Ulrich Lauf (* 1950 ) is a German administrative officer and non-fiction author .

Life

Ulrich Lauf grew up in Recklinghausen and attended the Catholic Marist School there , after which he did an apprenticeship and further training with the then Ruhr miners' association . He attended the Federal Academy for Public Administration in Bonn. Lauf is a graduate administrator and administrative director at the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Knappschaft-Bahn-See in Bochum .

From 2007 to 2009 Lauf was active on the scientific advisory board of the research project "Past and Future of Social Security Systems Using the Example of the Federal Miners' Union and its Successors", which linked five scientific institutions under the direction of the German Mining Museum . The special exhibition "On a broad shoulder - 750 years of miners" at the German Mining Museum (2010/11) is based on his suggestion.

In his work, Lauf mainly deals with topics related to the history of the miners' union .
