Ulrich Leisinger

Ulrich Leisinger (* 1964 in Baden-Baden ) is a German musicologist and director of the research department of the International Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg .

Live and act

Leisinger received his doctorate in 1992 at the University of Heidelberg , the subject of his dissertation was a work on Joseph Haydn and the development of the classical piano style. He then went to the Leipzig Bach Archive until 2004 , initially as a research assistant and later as Deputy Director of Research. In 2004/2005, Leisinger was visiting professor at Cornell University in Ithaca , New York.

Since July 2005, Leisinger has been editor of the New Mozart Edition and the Digital Mozart Edition, which were published by the Mozarteum Foundation and funded by the Packard Humanities Institute, Los Altos, California. In addition, Leisinger is the publisher of new editions of large works of choral literature at Carus-Verlag .
