Ulrich Molitor (Abbot)

Ulrich Molitor OCist , (* 1526 in Überlingen ; † April 24, 1584 ) was a German - Austrian priest monk . From 1558 to 1584 he was abbot of the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz .

Life

He was born on Lake Constance and entered the Heiligenkreuz novitiate in 1548. In 1555 he was named as prior , in 1558 he became coadjutor of Abbot Konrad II. In the same year Konrad died and Ulrich, who drew as miller and Molitor , became abbot.
