Ulrich Röbbelen

Ulrich Röbbelen (born December 13, 1944 in Hildesheim ; † January 24, 2007 in Leipzig ) was managing director of the Evangelical Publishing House in Leipzig from 1991 until his death .

Röbbelen studied Protestant theology , sociology and education and then headed a social institution in Hamburg. In 1978 the North Elbian Mission Center sent him to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Papua New Guinea , where he was responsible as a missionary for school and educational work until 1987 . In 1988 Röbbelen became the managing director of the Committee for Church World Services and the representative of the North Elbe Evangelical Lutheran Church for Church Development Services. From 1990 to 1991 he taught oriental studies at the University of Hamburg . Since 1991 he has been managing director of the Evangelical Publishing House in Leipzig. Ulrich Röbbelen helped to set up the association of magazine publishers in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. For years he was its board member and treasurer. From 2005 he was also the managing director of Evangelische Medienhaus-GmbH Leipzig.

Ulrich Röbbelen died on January 24, 2007 as a result of a heart attack.
