Ulrich Schneider

Ulrich Schneider (born September 2, 1972 in Sinsheim ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and was a member of the German Bundestag from December 7, 2011 until the end of the 17th electoral term.

Life

Schneider was born in Sinsheim and grew up in Bonfeld , a district of Bad Rappenau . After graduating from the Hohenstaufen Gymnasium in Bad Wimpfen in 1992, he did his community service and then studied economics . After graduating with a degree in economics in 1998, he worked in marketing at Hess Naturtextilien in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe . He has been an independent event manager since 2003.

He was the managing director of the Evangelical Church Congresses in 2007 and 2011 and the Ecumenical Church Congress in 2010 .

Political career

Schneider has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 1998 and has been spokesman for the district executive in Heilbronn since 2000. From 2004 to 2011 he represented the Greens in the Bad Rappenau council. He ran in 2005 and 2009 in the Bundestag constituency of Heilbronn and in 2009 and 2013 also on the state list (18th and 12th place) for the Bundestag.

In December 2011, he moved into the German Bundestag as a replacement for the Constance Bundestag member Till Seiler .

From December 2011 until the end of the 17th electoral term (October 2013), Schneider was the spokesperson for youth policy and civic engagement for the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group . He was a member of the Committee on Family, Seniors, Women and Youth and the Subcommittee on Civic Engagement.

For the 2013 federal election , Schneider ran again in the Heilbronn constituency and in 12th place on the green state list in Baden-Württemberg.
