Ulrich Senger

Ulrich Senger (born April 24, 1900 in Nordhausen ; † July 29, 1973 in Stuttgart ) was a German engineer and university professor.

Life

Senger grew up in Nordhausen in the Harz Mountains. After graduating from high school , he began to study mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Stuttgart (today's University of Stuttgart ) and moved to the Technical University of Wroclaw in the winter semester of 1920 . There he also became a member of the Corps Silesia . In 1923 he completed his studies as a graduate engineer. He received his first professional position as a test engineer for turbines at Brown, Boveri & Cie. (BBC) in Mannheim , during the Second World War he was involved in the development of high-pressure turbines for torpedo boats . After the war he returned to the BBC, but in 1950 he moved to the chair for turbines and engines at the Technical University of Stuttgart as a full professor, and in 1958 he was also rector .
