Ulrich Strombach (born January 13, 1944 in Gummersbach ) was President of the German Handball Federation from 1998 to 2013 . He also held the following positions: until he was voted out of office in 2009, he was President of the IHF Arbitration Court , until 2006 a member of the ICAS (International Council of Arbitration for Sport) in Lausanne , from 1993 to 1998 DHB Vice President in the field of competitive sports , OK -President of the Handball World Cup 2007 in Germany.

Career

Ulrich Strombach has held offices in the field of German handball since 1977 . From 1977 to 1993 he was the chairman of VfL Gummersbach and also spokesman for the Bundesliga men from 1980 to 1988. From 1988 he was also a member of the technical commission at DHB until 1993.

In 2009 he was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
