Ernst Feick

Ernst Feick (born October 30, 1911 in Büttelborn ; † April 2, 2007 in Gießen ) was President of the German Handball Federation from 1955 to 1966 .

Teacher

After successfully completing his studies in Darmstadt and passing the 2nd state examination, he was trained as a sports teacher. From 1936 to 1939 he worked as a handball teacher. After the end of the war, Ernst Feick moved to Giessen. There he taught at various grammar schools until 1977 - most recently as a senior teacher.

Handball

Feick began his handball career at TV Büttelborn and later moved to SV Darmstadt 98 . He played four international matches for the DHB in the 30s. Feick played his first international game on September 21, 1930 in the 5-6 defeat against Austria. He was also active as a handball teacher for Reich trainer Otto Günther Kaundinya for the DHB.

After the Second World War, he initially performed various functions in Hesse, including being a teacher and then a game warden. From 1953 to 1958 he was chairman of the Hessian handball association . In 1953 he joined the game committee of the DHB. In 1955 he was elected President of the DHB in Duisburg as the successor to Willi Daume . After 1966 Feick gave up all honorary posts and no longer ran.
