Ulrich Tarlatt (* 1952 in Wansleben am See ) is a German painter , draftsman , sculptor and graphic artist .

Life and education

Before starting his artistic career, he graduated from high school in 1970. From 1970 to 1974 he studied electrical engineering at the TH Ilmenau and from 1975 to 1980 he was employed in the chemical industry. The first artistic works were created in 1975. This was followed by evening studies of painting and graphics in Halle (Saale) .

Tarlatt has been working as a freelance artist since 1981. In 1987 he founded Edition Augenweide together with the writer Jörg Kowalski . In the same year, Edition began to produce books - working with a large number of artists and writers. Paintings , drawings , prints , books, sculptures , installations and objects are created in alternating phases .

Since 1989 he has published the almanac COMMON SENSE in Edition Augenweide. This almanac brings together artists and writers from home and abroad.

Tarlatt lives and works in Bernburg (Saale) .
