Ulrich Wienbruch

Ulrich Vienna fraction (* 28. June 1936 in Arnsberg , † 26. July 2019 ) was a German philosopher , free journalist and emeritus professors .

Life

Ulrich Wienbruch researched among other things on the philosophy of language of St. Augustine , especially in his work De magistro , and on his epistemology and, since the 1980s, as a professor at the University of Cologne on the transcendental philosophy of Immanuel Kant .

From 1970 to 1976 he also taught as a guest lecturer for aesthetics and art theory at the Cologne Werkschulen (FH Kunst und Design).

He became known through his treatises on conscious experience (in which people experience their own consciousness through active action ). One of his students is the philosopher Richard David Precht , who particularly values ​​Wienbruch's scientific seriousness, discipline and methodology: "building one thought on the next ".
