Ulrike Lucke
Ulrike Lucke (* 1975 in Rostock ) is a German computer scientist and university professor . She heads the chair for “Complex Multimedia Application Architectures” at the Institute for Computer Science and Computational Science at the University of Potsdam .
Career
After completing her computer science studies from 1993 to 1999, Lucke worked as a research assistant at the chair for computer architecture at the University of Rostock until 2010 . In 2006 she was there with Djamshid Tavangarian with a dissertation on the subject of "Architectures and tools for structured document processing " for Dr.-Ing. PhD. In 2011 she completed her habilitation on "Network-based systems in teaching and research" to become Dr.-Ing. habil. In 2010 she followed the call to a professorship at the University of Potsdam , where she has since headed the chair of "Complex Multimedia Application Architectures" at the Institute for computer science and computational science. From 2010 to 2018 the professorship was linked to the function of CIO. The CIO has been assigned to the presidential area since 2019.
Her main research interests are in the areas of “ Mobile and Pervasive Computing ”, “ Interoperability in heterogeneous environments” and “ E-Learning ”.
For several years Lucke was the spokesperson for the e-learning specialist group in the Society for Computer Science (GI). In 2013 she was elected to the GI Presidium and has been active there in the E-Science Presidium Working Group since 2015. From 2011 to 2016 she was a member of the board of the Konrad-Zuse- Gesellschaft within the GI, from 2014 to 2016 a member of the advisory group for technology and development at HIS eG , and since 2016 she has been the deputy chairwoman of the University CIO eV

- Member of AcademiaNet since July 2015 after being nominated by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation
