Ulrike Müller (author)

Ulrike Müller (* 1953 in Hamburg ) is a German author , literary and cultural scientist .

Life

After completing her training as a Protestant church musician , Ulrike Müller began studying theology , literature and philosophy in Hamburg . In addition, she took courses in music therapy , attended a private drawing school and trained in topic-centered interaction . Since 1992 she has worked with the theologian Dorothee Sölle. In 1989 Ulrike Müller did her doctorate on Else Lasker-Schüler .

She has lived in Weimar since 1992 and worked as a cultural advisor at the women's center. In addition, she works as a tour guide, museum educator , freelance speaker and author. She was involved in the anti-nuclear , women's and peace movements . Until 1998 she was a member of the city parliament. She has been running the Weimar writing workshop for several years . She also performs in musical and literary salon programs. In Elisabeth Sandmann Verlag published the wise women of Weimar , Salon Women and Bauhaus women .

For her achievements she was awarded the Thuringian Communication Prize in 2004 and the Thuringian Author's Grant in 2016.
