Ulrike Vedder

Ulrike Vedder (* 1963 ) is a German literary scholar and Germanist . Since 2009 she has been a professor at the Institute for German Literature at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

Life

Ulrike Vedder studied German , Romance studies and education in Münster and Hamburg . In 2000 she was born with the writing Skilful Love. Doctorate on the media history of the love discourse in the letter novel "Les Liaisons dangereuses" and in contemporary literature at the TU Berlin . From 1999 to 2009 she was a research assistant at the Center for Literary and Cultural Research in Berlin.

2009 habilitation them with the work The Testament as a literary dispositive in the 19th century at the TU Berlin. In the same year she was appointed to the chair for Modern German Literature from the 18th Century to the Present / Theories and Methods of Gender Studies in Literature at the HU Berlin. a. Speaker at the Center for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies .

Vedder is co-editor of the magazine for German studies .
