Ulrike Wolf (born September 8, 1944 in Bautzen ) is a German journalist and presenter .

Life

After graduating from high school in Altena in 1964, she volunteered for the Lüdenscheider Nachrichten . In 1965/66 she attended a year-long course at the German School of Journalism . In 1966 she started as editor of the women's magazine Constanze in Hamburg.

From 1971 Wolf worked for the ARD and became known for her work at the Tagesschau . In 1977 she became an editor at ARD-aktuell . From 1985 she moderated the Tagesthemen as one of the first female moderators (since Barbara Dickmann's premiere in 1979).

In 1987 she became head of NDR television in the "Politics and Current Affairs" division. From 1991 to 2011 Ulrike Wolf was director of the MDR -Landesfunkhaus Sachsen . She was confirmed in this position in 2001 and 2006.

In addition to her journalistic work, Wolf was temporarily politically involved in the CDU . From 1974 to 1982 she was a member of the district assembly of the Hamburg district of Eimsbüttel , among other things as deputy parliamentary group leader. Together with her husband, she published an advertising paper for the Hamburg suburbs of Niendorf, Lokstedt and Schnelsen.
