The Ulsan Stadium ( kor. 울산 종합 운동장 ) is a football stadium with an athletics facility in the Jung-gu district of the South Korean city of Ulsan . It was opened in 2005 and has 19,471 seats.
history
The Ulsan Stadium was built on the site of the Ulsan Gongseol Stadium , which opened in 1970 and was demolished in 2003. It was the home ground of Ulsan Hyundai football club before it moved to the Ulsan Munsu football stadium . The club used the facility from time to time for home games. Between 2005 and 2016, the stadium was the home ground of Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Dolphin FC . Since 2019, the sports facility has been used by the newly founded semi-professional club Ulsan Citizen FC . Ulsan Stadium was one of the venues for the 2007 U-17 World Cup .
