Game of Games Games Hits With Friends 2006

A dice game by Tom Lehmann for 2 to 5 players, published by Amigo in 2006, is about crown and collar . The graphic is from Volkan Baga .

description

In the role of supplicants at the king's court, the players try to gain as much influence as possible; even simple peasants or servants can help, and court jesters and charlatans are also available. Bishops , nobles and generals have more influence, but on the one hand they are not available to everyone and on the other hand, the way to them is long.

All of these characters can be found on the playing cards . At the beginning different amounts are laid out depending on the number of players. In each round, the players start with three game dice , of which at least one must be selected after each roll. After the last die has been laid out, the player can choose a card for the result that will help him to achieve better results in the further rounds.

Cards are obtained for the following results:

If you cannot achieve any of these results, you can take the court jester or, if you already have one, turn it on the charlatan side.

The cards have the following advantages:

  • Take one or two additional dice in hand: Farmer, Charlatan, General (2)
  • Add a 1, 2 or 3 to a die or a certain number to any number: maid, court lady (1), nobleman (2)
  • Distribute the numbers between 2 or 3 dice as desired: philosopher or alchemist
  • Add a die with a specific or any number: craftsman (1), security guard (2), hunter (3), pawnbroker (4), knight (5), bishop (6), queen (?)
  • Throw one or any number of dice again: jester, dealer
  • Turn a die on a number that has already been laid out or of any number: astronomer or magician

As soon as the first player has thrown seven identical dice, he may take the king card and thus determine the end of the game or choose another card. In the latter case, the dice continue to be rolled until another player takes the king card. The first player to roll 7 of the same dice always receives the queen. If the king's card has been taken, each player can try in a final round of dice to outperform the first player's seven identical dice. The number and, if the number is the same, the value of the dice and the order in which they are achieved apply. If a player succeeds in surpassing the player who triggered the end of the game, he receives the king's card from that player. However, the latter may try again in a last attempt to achieve a better result, with the queen helping him.

If he succeeds in this, he wins the game, otherwise the player with the king card.

The decisive factor in the game is therefore the skillful use of the character cards in order to obtain certain cards. The order is also important, because the more dice you have, the harder it will be to throw even or odd numbers, unless you have the right support. Whereas for a full house it doesn't matter what the other dice show.
