Umberto Alongi
Umberto Alongi (born July 26, 1976 in Palermo , Italy ) is an Italian and Swiss pop singer and songwriter who also plays guitar . Alongi sings in Italian, Spanish and English. He lives in Lugano in the canton of Ticino .
Life
Since 2014 he has produced five albums as a soloist with the record labels Music-Mad Records and Me & U Records as well as Artists Management in London .
In September 2015 he took part in the preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 . In October he won the title "Best Pop-Rock Best Latin Song", which was awarded by the Akademia Music Awards for the song "Abbracciami". He was also the only Swiss artist to take part in the Ghedi Festival, where he reached the semifinals among 300 other artists with the song "Come stai".
The song “Come stai”, written by Marco Giorgi (Mariadele), has been on the radio since November 30, 2015 and was ranked 7th in the list of the ten most broadcast songs in Italy. It was later to be found at number 72 in the top 100 ranking. The song was produced by the record company Latlantide, which also releases the new album.
In November 2015 Alongi received the 1st prize of the "Akademia Music Awards" with the song "Con un altro", which was written by Gaetano Capitano (Gazzè - Giorgia ) in collaboration with Valentino Alfano ( Mina ) and Marco Elfo Buongiovanni ( Cugini di campagna ) was written.
Umberto Alongi founded the band Diesel 23 in Lugano in 2010 , which lasted five years.
