The Umbusi ( Estonian Umbusi jõgi ) is a river in the Estonian district of Jõgeva .

The river has its source in the Luige moor near the village of Kalana ( Pajusi municipality ). It flows into the Pedja River , 20.9 km from its mouth in the Emajõgi .

The river is 34 km long. Its catchment area covers 159 km². The water of the river is very cold, especially in the middle and upper reaches. It is a popular destination for brown trout anglers .

Other names of the river are Umbuse jõgi, Mõrtsa jõgi and Mõrtsioja.
