Unax Ugalde Gutiérrez (pronounced: [ uˈnaʃ uˈgalˌde ], born November 27, 1978 in Vitoria-Gasteiz ) is a Basque actor .

life and career

Ugalde began his career with guest roles in various Spanish television series. In 2000 he starred in the short film Jardines deshabitados and received an award for it at the Málaga Spanish Film Festival .

In 2004 Ugalde appeared in Gracia Querejeta's drama Héctor . This earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the Goya 2005 one. In 2005 Ugalde played the gay Miguel in Gay Mothers Without Nerves .

In 2006 Ugalde played alongside Viggo Mortensen in Alatriste and together with Javier Bardem , Natalie Portman and Stellan Skarsgård in Goyas Geister . In 2007 he starred in Mike Newell's Love in the Times of Cholera and alongside Julianne Moore in Wild Innocence .

In 2010 he shot the romantic comedy Bon appétit with Nora Tschirner .
