Uncle Jed is an Australian band from Sydney who became known as the 2013 season seven winners of Australia's Got Talent .

Band history

The band Uncle Jed consists of the singer Laura Stitt, who is also the background singer for Jessica Mauboy , and her two cousins ​​Danny and Shannon Stitt. The two brothers lived in Coffs Harbor until 2005 and then moved to Sydney to make music with their cousin. The band is named after their uncle Jed, who is Laura's father. In 2010 they released their first album called Uncle Jed .

In the meantime up to seven members belonged to the band. 2013 they applied but as a trio in the talent show Australia's Got Talent . They became favorites for the win with their first appearance with the song Brother by Matt Corby and with Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran in the semifinals and Just Give Me a Reason by Pink in the finals they also won the competition and the prize money of 250,000 AUD .
