Undercover (pop band)
Undercover was a British pop group that enjoyed mostly cover versions of popular songs in the 1990s .
biography
Undercover included musicians Jon Jules ( bass ), Steve Mac ( songwriter , producer ) and Tim Laws ( guitar ). 1992 had tape a European top-3 hit with Baker Street , a cover of Gerry Rafferty- -Hits of 1978. The song is one of the ten best-selling singles of 1992 in England and was in Germany with a gold record award.
The following single , a cover of Andrew Gold's Never Let Her Slip Away , made it into the top 10 in Great Britain and the top 20 in Germany at the end of 1992 . I Wanna Stay with You was the last release of the album Check Out the Groove , which was able to place itself in the UK charts, but only reached a top 30 position.
The song Lovesick , sung by John Matthews, was the pre-single of the 1994 album Ain't No Stoppin 'Us . Neither record had the desired success, only Lovesick was in the UK charts for a week. The release Best Friend rose in the German charts in June 1994 and was thus the last chart success under cover for the time being. It was not until 2004 that the song Viva England made another short stay in the UK charts.
