União das Freguesias de Carreira e Fonte Coberta , or Carreira e Fonte Coberta for short , is a municipality ( Freguesia ) in the district of Barcelos in northern Portugal .

2,033 inhabitants live in the municipality on an area of ​​5.29 km² (as of 2011 figures).

The municipality was created as part of the regional reform in Portugal on September 29, 2013 by merging the two previous municipalities Carreira and Fonte Coberta . Carreira became the seat of the municipality.
