União the Freguesias de Moncarapacho e Fuseta , shortly Moncarapacho e Fuseta , is a village ( freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) of Olhão on the Algarve , in southern Portugal .
9,635 inhabitants live in the municipality on an area of 70.63 km² (as of 2011 figures).
The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform in Portugal on September 29, 2013 by merging the municipalities of Moncarapacho and Fuseta . Moncarapacho became the seat of the municipality, the former municipal administration in Fuseta remained as a branch office and citizens' office.
