The Unitalia (a suitcase word from Unita , " Unita " and Italia , "Italy"), full name Unitalia - Movimento Iniziativa Sociale (German: Unitalia - Movement Social Initiative ) is a right-wing extremist and neo-fascist party in Italy with origins in South Tyrol . It emerged in 1996 from a split at the local level from the right-wing conservative Alleanza Nazionale (AN). Under the leadership of Donato Seppi, a group of councilors from Bolzano and the member of the state parliament Marco Bolzonello had come together to form a splinter party in protest against the so-called Svolta di Fiuggi (the realignment of the post-fascist Movimento Sociale Italiano towards the more moderate AN).

Unitalia has been campaigning for the protection of “Italians” ( Italianità ) in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and for the unity of Italy since it was founded, and is thus strictly against any striving for autonomy in South Tyrol . In its influence, however, the party is limited to the South Tyrol region and has so far not been able to win any parliamentary elections or Senate seats in Rome.

In the South Tyrolean state parliament the Unitalia 1998 was represented by 2013 with the deputies Donato Seppi.

From 2008 to 2010 she collaborated with the also right outside, operating at national level party La Destra by Francesco Storace . In 2010 she became part of the national conservative small party Movimento per l'Italia led by Daniela Santanchè .
