The University of Nova Gorica ( Slovenian Univerza v Novi Gorici ) emerged from the Nova Gorica Polytechnic , which was founded on September 24, 1995 in the city of the same name in Slovenia . There are also campuses in Ajdovščina , Vipava and the neighboring Italian town of Gorizia .
