The University of Vaasa (fi. Vaasan yliopisto , swe. Vasa universitet ) is a multidisciplinary University in Vaasa, Finland. The campus is located on the Gulf of Bothnia, which borders the city center. The University of Vaasa has four faculties:

The University of Vaasa goes back to a business school from 1966. It was finally granted university status in 1992 after the other faculties were affiliated.

The Faculty of Economics (also known as the Vaasa School of Economics ) is one of the largest in Finland. The university has around 5,000 students and 425 employees, including 180 teachers and 54 professors.

The university is located on Palosaari (Eng. Brandinsel ). Each building has its own name, for example one of them used to be a cotton factory and is accordingly called Fabriiki (German factory ). The main building is called Tervahovi ( Eng . Teerhof ), another Luotsi ( Eng . Pilot ). There is also the Tritonia library , which the university shares with the other universities in the city, and the Technobothnia laboratory system . It is also available to the other two Vaasa universities of applied sciences.

The entire facility is located directly on the sea and is surrounded by smaller parks.
