Uno Svensson

Uno Svensson (* 1929 in Ronneby , Sweden ; † 2012 ) was a Swedish artist.

Svensson studied from 1950 to 1955 at the Malmö Art School . His first solo exhibition took place in 1957 at the Colibri Gallery in Malmö. Since then he has had several solo and group exhibitions in over 20 countries, including the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm , the Moderna Museet Malmö , the Center Culturel Suédois Paris , the Kunsthalle Lund , the Ronneby cultural center and the Group 2 gallery in Brussels . He received a scholarship at the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris (1972–1975). He is a nominated member of the European Academy, Paris.

His work is represented in the collections of the Moderna Museet Stockholm, the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm and the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris. In 1993 the Uno Svensson Society was founded in Ronneby with the aim of spreading his work. In 1998 the permanent collection in the Ronneby cultural center was opened to the public.
