action
Nina is a young Indian half-blood who grew up under the care of Chris Morell. Nina is entitled to a fortune from the oil production on her late mother's land. Chris can only access it if her father gives his consent or if his death is clearly proven. In order to be able to send Nina to a decent school, he goes with the girl to look for her father. However, the bandit Sam Black wants to steal the money from him and rides after him with his men. Chris hits the bushes and distracts the pursuers, while Nina has to ride on alone. Chris escapes, but eventually falls from his horse from exhaustion.
He is found by Jim Moore, who just committed a robbery. He swaps his clothes with the unconscious Chris. Shortly afterwards it is picked up by Jim's sister Clara, who is also the sister of an old friend of Chris. She takes him to her ranch , where he unexpectedly meets Jim, whom he immediately recognizes because of his clothes. Out of consideration for Clara, however, he says nothing. However, Jim and his accomplice Vic Byrd overhear that Nina is worth a lot of money. In the meantime, Nina, stranded on Vic's ranch, meets her biological father by chance. Vic and Jim, on the other hand, contact Black and his gang. They offer to extradite Nina for $ 10,000 and further demand that the gang eliminate Chris Morell.
Jim is shot down by Vic shortly afterwards out of greed . Chris finds the seriously injured man, learns of Vic's plan and rides quickly to the ranch. When Vic wants to get Nina, he is shot by Nina's father. However, the ranch is then surrounded by Black's gang, who previously brought Clara Moore into their power. Chris offers himself in exchange for the hostage. In this way he gains enough time until the help he has called arrives. Sam Black first escapes with Nina after killing her biological father. Chris chases after him and can finally defeat him.
