The Unterberg is a 1425 meter high mountain south of Ruhpolding in Bavaria .
It is located in the Chiemgau Alps and can be reached either by the Unterberg cable car built in 1971 or by an easy mountain hike. From the Unterberg-Alm you have a good view of the Poschinger Wand, the Brandstein and the Hochfelln . In addition, there is a very good view of Ruhpolding and the Chiemsee in the background.
