Upload takes place in the year 2033. People can be uploaded into an afterlife of their choice . After a traffic accident, Nathan is met by customer service representative Nora in Lakeview , his version of the afterlife. The series accompanies the two as Nathan has to get used to being separated from his family and friends and the real Nora is busy staying afloat and doing her job.
