The Upnuk Lake is a lake in Dillingham Census Area in the southwest of the US state of Alaska . The glacial lake is located at an altitude of 239 m in Wood-Tikchik State Park on the eastern flank of the Wood River Mountains , a mountain range of the Kuskokwim Mountains , between Chikuminuk Lake in the south and Slate Lake in the north.
The name of the indigenous people of Alaska for the lake was documented by the US Bureau of Fisheries in 1915 .
