The Tikchik River is a river in southwest Alaska .

The Tikchik River flows from the Wood River Mountains located Nishlik Lake over a distance of about 70 km in a south-southeast direction for Tikchik Lake . The 15 km long outlet of Upnuk Lake meets the Tikchik River on the right.

The course of the Tikchik River is entirely within Wood-Tikchik State Park .

There are whitewater tours offered starting from Nishlik Lake or Lake Upnuk to Tikchik Lake. The rapids above the confluence of the two lake outflows are of category I. In the middle reaches of the Tikchik River there is a shorter section of difficulty II.
