The Nuyakuk River is a 58 km long right tributary of the Nushagak River in southwest Alaska .
It rises from Tikchik Lake in Wood-Tikchik State Park , flows eastward and flows northwest of Koliganek into the Nushagak River, which in turn flows into Bristol Bay .
The Native Alaska name for the river was documented in 1898 by the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey as "Tikchik". "Nu-ya-kok", the origin of the current name, comes from a 1910 map drawn up by HC Fassett of the United States Bureau of Fisheries .
